Blu Prime Steakhouse is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant setting..

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure all team members are trained in food preparation techniques and safety standards.
  • Manage shift operations, including delegating tasks and ensuring timely service during peak hours.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience.
  • Provide support in bartending duties as needed, ensuring quality beverage service.
  • Help maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in food service with a strong background in cooking and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership abilities to effectively supervise staff and manage shifts.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
  • Proficient in inventory management practices to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in baking and bakery production.
  • The ability to continue learning under our Executive Chef, while also being able to lead by example in a hands on capacity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
